SAFE ZONE VISION
The Raytown suburb of Kansas City, Missouri experiences a violent crime rate than is higher than state and national levels. Experiencing or witnessing violence is traumatic and increases fear and distrust among community members. Sisters In Christ coordinates the Safe Zone neighborhood hub to foster unity among Raytown families, businesses, schools, community organizations, law enforcement, and city agencies. Based on a violence reduction service delivery system, Safe Zone offers access to community resources and direct services under one roof.
Our vision is for Raytown families at risk for being impacted by violent crime to experience safe housing, nutritious food, healthy relationships, quality employment, and life experiences that positively change the trajectories of their lives.

Being a parent to a teenager is challenging! As youth transition from childhood to adulthood, they desire independence and respect but still need parental love and guidance. Through workshops and coaching, Safe Zone helps parents of teens establish safety, healthy communication, respect and trust in their homes. We provide parents effective strategies and solutions to strengthen their bond with their teenage children.

We value the role youth have in our Raytown community. We elevate their voices and empower their dreams so that they can grow up to live safe and healthy lives as adults. Through our Youth Life-Link program, we connect teens with team-building activities that allow them to build camaraderie and enhance their academic achievement, community involvement, and financial outlook. Team building activities include sports, lawn care and gardening.
CARING FOR RAYTOWN
We partner with other community organizations to provide fresh produce, diapers and hygiene products to individuals and families in need.
LAWN CARE & LEAF REMOVAL
Life gets super hectic at times. Some seasons are more difficult than others. That's why we help our Raytown neighbors with lawn mowing and raking leaves. If you need help with these tasks, please contact us.
